Sennheiser CX-500 earphones review

Sennheiser CX-500 earphones Design
The first thing we noticed about the CX-500 is the color. Completely off the white earphones with 3.5mm jack, Sennheiser makes no secret of their target audience: iPod owners. The 3.5mm jack is not worthy of an iPhone, but they were usually made with Apple's MP3 player in mind.

The line of demarcation, it is particularly 11.00, seems a bit fragile, but we arrived and it draws very well, and there is no sign of collapse. We believe that the cable was too short, though, as there is barely long enough for a down bag at hand, and was certainly not long enough to reach our pockets. It included shirt clip was useless to us, our problem was a rebel who would not get tangled cables, but it was not enough rope to be taken first.
We were concerned about the volume control halfway down the cord. It is very convenient, especially if someone tried to talk to us, and we had to listen to our music too loud, but the volume control on the headset is generally no way a separate amplifier, which almost always bad. However, representatives Sennheiser ensure that there is only one volume attenuator and does not alter the audio signal at all in September when the "MAX".
We liked that combined choice of six pairs, and found a way to double-flange to fit the best. We would like to see a headset foam, which appear from our experience the best sound insulation to give, but those rubber complain good enough for us, worked their absence too.

Sound
We listened to a loss, FLAC encoded digital music playlist to the limit of the CX-500 test. Play everything from The Cure to Dr. Dre to Elliott Smith, the Sennheiser is well developed, although the improvement was minimal in listening to compressed music on our iPod Bjork. Conversely, our slow songs like The Cure "Boys Do not Cry" ripped at 128 kbps sound better than they are on cheap headphones (like iPod headphones).
The earphones seemed a bit overwhelmed by the bass notes, especially evident on songs such as Elliott Smith's acoustic "between bars. We heard statický fuzz in the back of softer songs, which most listeners better with extreme smooth, almost imperceptible hiss replaced. We believe that the helmet Lot Better Than handle digital recordings similar to those. For example, fly the same context we got two (admittedly lo-fi) Elliott Smith and Iron & Wine songs on our Playlist FLAC is gone when we heard the sounds generated by computer from postal services "Such Great Heights".
The absence of listeners foam hurts, the CX-500, in most acoustic. The sound is excellent, no noise outside, but when we took the subway, we have found the volume to completely block ambient noise.

Accessories
The CX500 comes with a good set of accessories, including an alligator clip for hanging a shirt or jacket, a drum with rubber tracks for each bud and two sets of S / M headset / L, an ordinary double and a strap and a bag to stuff everything in. A modular system, or foam earphone CX500 help here, and it was nice to see an airplane adapter, especially since we have a nice bag to carry comfortably in.
